Virtual Global Summit
Creative Commons global summit brought together leading activists, advocates, librarians, educators, lawyers, technologists and more from all over the world to discuss the future of open, the unknowns of artificial intelligence, the possibilities of open GLAM (galleries, libraries, archives, and museums), and the pressing need for copyright reform.
The inaugural Memories of Mogadishu Conference brought together 18 international and national speakers from across the world in fields as diverse as media, academia, archival work, and the arts.
Together, they helped explore and drive a conversation around memories and migration in post-conflict societies with the goal of fostering greater understanding and inclusion. The conference report can be accessed here.
"Oral History in Our Challenging Times" Oral History Association (OHA) Conference in Montreal, Quebec roundtable "Making sense of Moving Homes" explored the core idea of “home”, images and representations of the migration experience, resettlement and integration, as well as separation and reunification.
